44Cup Cascais

44CUP_Cascais

Finally the Black Star Sailing Team is back. And the season is already in full swing. With Black Star Sailing now competing in two race series, our calendar is tighter and we can come up with news even more regularly.
The preparations for the start with our new RC44 yacht were a bit time-consuming, which is why the first regatta of the 44Cup calendar 2022 unfortunately took place without us.

We are now all the more eager to present ourselves in the line-up of the 44Cup Cascais from 11 May and to compete with the competitors in this boat class, which is new to us.

The small harbour town of Cascais is located at the gates of Lisbon and offers a sandy bay with almost perfect conditions for a regatta. But it is not only the strong winds and the Atlantic swell, but also the proverbial Portuguese hospitality that makes Cascais the repeated venue for a 44Cup regatta.
Black Star Sailing is new to the 44Cup, but we have already had the pleasure of competing in Riva as part of the GC32 Racing Tour at obligingly and professionally organised regattas in Portugal.
The anticipation and excitement is accordingly great…
