The 6th Foiling Awards are history. At the end of March 2023, the winners in the 13 different categories were announced and honoured in an award show at the Da Vinci Museum in Milan. Unfortunately, Black Star Sailing did not win and came away empty-handed.
The Foiling Award 2022 in the TEAM category went to Caterina Banti and Ruggero Tita (read more:) foilingawards-halloffame.org/foiling-team-award/
Caterina Banti and Ruggero Tita won the Olympic Nacra 17 catamaran class in Tokyo 2021 and became World and European Champions in the same class in 2022. Caterina Banti and Ruggero Tita have more than earned the 6th Foiling Award in this category.
The Black Star Sailing Team congratulates them and thanks the award organisers “We Are Foiling” for the nomination and all fans and supporters for voting.
A small correction: in our newsletter of 2 March, we incorrectly referred to the 6th Foiling Award as 2023. In fact, the sixth edition of this award is the one for 2022, albeit awarded in 2023. We apologise for this oversight.
