The governments of various countries are easing travel restrictions, borders are being opened tentatively and &#8211; sailing in Switzerland is finally permitted again. Although still with restrictions, these should &#8211; we hope &#8211; be eased as well soon.<\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #ffb700;\">GC32 back on Racing Tour<\/span><\/h2><p>With the gradual opening, the GC32 Racing Tour is back as well. The tour management has left no stone unturned to save at least a part of the 2020 season. With a pleasing result. Of the initial five regattas, two of them will probably still be able to be held:<\/p><h3>26 \u2013 30 August: GC32 Lagos Cup, Lagos, Portugal<br \/>14 \u2013 18 October: GC32 Riva Cup, Riva del Garda, Italy<\/h3><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Black Star back on schedule<\/h2><p>Another positive piece of news reached us a few days ago: Our boat, the Black Star, has arrived back in Europe on board an ocean freighter. That suits. Because the construction and preparation of our own transport and workshop container will also be completed on schedule, so that the Black Star&#8217;s move to her new home can be tackled immediately. Although the final setup of the service station will take a few more days, but we are looking forward to putting a perfect setup into operation soon.<\/p><h2>It&#8217;s done!<\/h2><p>Soon we will be able to put our team setup into operation as well. Thanks to the discipline of everyone, our team members are in perfect health. And so we are happy that the different home countries of our crew members are slowly &#8220;getting back on track&#8221; after the lock-down.<br \/>While there have been no new infections in New Zealand for a long time, people are also getting better in Spain and Great Britain. Especially in Spain the relief after this difficult time is noticeable and everyone is full of enthusiasm.\u00a0<\/p><h2 class=\"null\">All&#8217;s well that ends well?<\/h2><p>The CORONAVIRUS dominated events around the world for weeks &#8211; and will continue to do so for months to come. Whether states, companies or private individuals, all follow the recommendations of doctors and scientists and obey the instructions of governments and authorities.<\/p><p>The COVID-19 pandemic is hitting the world of sports in particular with full force. Everything that was in preparation for this year has been postponed or cancelled altogether.<\/p><p>Already in the starting grid, the GC32 Racing Tour 2020 had to cancel its first regatta in Oman at the last minute. And the entire event series will now not take place as planned.\u00a0<\/p><p>The GC32Racing Tour management has been in constant stress since the lock-down. In intensive discussions with the various locations, they are trying to do the trick of balancing the agendas of the organizers and the participating teams. This is not an easy task. Predictions regarding the course of the pandemic are still vague &#8211; and thus a return to normality in the individual countries is not yet guaranteed. Nevertheless, we are all pursuing the goal of making the GC32 Racing Tour 2020 happen.<\/p><p>The GC32 Racing Tour Management could now agree with two organizers that the events can be postponed to August and October respectively.
